Associate Current Form

The same business objects are sometimes related, such as the relationship between supervisors and subordinates; in administrative division, the hierarchical relationship between provinces, cities and counties; and in task management, the relationship between parent and child tasks.

Example 1

In the Task worksheet, show the relationship between parent and child tasks.

Example 2

In the Employee Information worksheet, the relationship between supervisor and subordinate needs to be displayed. The supervisor needs to be associated with the records of other subordinate employees in the worksheet, and the subordinate can be associated with the records of other employees in the worksheet.

How to associate records in current worksheet

Take the example of showing the child-parent relationship in Task Management:

  1. Add the [Relationship] control > New association > Select this application > Select this form > OK.

  2. After this, the relationship control you just added will become two controls, parent and child.

  • Parent: Here it refers to the parent task. A task can only be associated with one parent task, so the associated quantity is single row.
  • Child: Here it refers to the child task. A task can have more than one child task, so the associated quantity is multiple rows.
  1. Set the parent and child fields separately.

Set the title, display mode, display field, etc.

  2. Save the form.

  3. Add records to test.

  4. Choose the org view to show the relationships between parent tasks and child tasks.
